Magdalene Odundo, born in Kenya and studied at the Royal College of Art in London, has exhibited her ceramic works in galleries and museums in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. Her work is in the British Museum, The Museum of African Art, The Smithsonian Institution, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Detroit Institute of Art, Los Angeles County Museum, Seattle Art Museum, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and many others. She is represented by Anthony Slayter-Ralph. Her first exhibition in the United States was at the Anthony Ralph Gallery in New York in 1991.
